The portrait process begins with the initial  meeting of
the client and the artist, in order to discuss the subject
and desired intention of the painting. This discussion
includes the size, placement, background and tone of  
the portrait. It will be determined also whether the artist
will work from life or if reference photographs will be
needed.  A Studio or a photo session will then be
scheduled.
In the second meeting the artist will present to the
client  studies based on references and ideas discussed
in order to clarify the direction of portrait.  When  a
decision has been made as to the tone and pose of the
portrait based on the artist’s studies, the final painting
will begin.
Upon completion of the painting, a meeting is arranged
for any final adjustments, framing and delivery of the
portrait.
